As your Mayor I will be posting information from time to time on special events and all other information. I will also be updating the calendar monthly on meeting dates and events. I know it is important to everyone to be updated as to what is going on in our area.

We would like to Thank Rayz on the Bay for donating money to the Village to help with the continued beautification of the Bay Front. They opened the upper deck on Eclipse Day and charged a small few for people to sit and view the Eclipse. A 100% of the money they received was donated to the Village of Bay View. Again we Thank You

Yard Waste Dumpster
The gate for the yard waste dumpster will be locked from approximately 8 pm to 8 am each day. We had another genius that can’t read that no plastic is allowed to be dumped. Yesterday the dumpster was emptied and it was full of plastic bags so the recycling facility refused the load. The Village may be charged an extra fee for this, and if it continues they will no longer continue the program for us. We will be looking through the video and hopefully see whoever did this. Anytime you dump back there and see something that doesn’t belong please phone the Mayor at 419-503-1044 and he will have it removed. This is a huge benefit to the Village residents and we would like to see it continue. NO PLASTIC, BUSHES, SHRUBS or BRANCHES! Just grass, leaves, wood chips and garden waste.

Eclipse 2024
We would like to thank everyone that came to visit our beautiful Village on this historic eclipse day. I personally had a few conversations with folks from Detroit, Elyria and as far away as Virginia. Thank you to the Bay Bell Restaurant for opening and allowing visitors to eat and take in the Eclipse outside in your parking lot. Thanks to the Cedar Motel for having alot of visitors outside enjoying the Eclipse. A thank you to Rayz On The Bay for opening up the upper deck for Eclipse viewing. To sum it all up we all came together and welcomed friends, family and even strangers to enjoy our beautiful community.

Sunrise Celebration
On Sunday March 31, 2024 we will be hosting the 2nd Sunrise Celebration in Bay View. Those attending may begin gathering at 7A.M. on the bay across from the Bay Bell Restaurant. Music will begin at 7:15 A.M just at sunrise. ( This celebration is NOT meant to replace your church service.)
Immediately following the program the Bay Bell will be open for the best breakfast on the bay.
Just recovering from total knee replacement surgery last week I hope to be there to enjoy this special morning.
