As your Mayor I will be posting information from time to time on special events and all other information. I will also be updating the calendar monthly on meeting dates and events. I know it is important to everyone to be updated as to what is going on in our area.
July 16th Council Meeting
Tuesday’s July 16th 2024 Council Meeting will be held at the open Pavilion in Orshoski Park at 7:00 pm. There will also be a public hearing starting at 6:30 at the same location for discussion and comments of Zoning changes.

Job Posting
Village of Bay View looking for permanent part-time Maintenance/Maintenance Helper. We are willing to train the right person for this position. We are looking for someone with a mechanical understanding and someone who can listen and carry-out detailed instructions. You will need to be familiar with zero-turn mowers as mowing will be one of the many duties. You will be responsible for emptying trash on the bridge, bay front and park. You will be feeding brush into a grinder machine from time to time throughout the summer months. You will be vacuuming leaves in the fall months. You will be trained to run the snowplow for plowing snow in the winter months. A mechanical background will be a plus but as the ad states we are willing to train the right person. The hours for this position will be 7am-3pm or 8am-2pm whichever the applicant desires. Once you are trained and established the days will be 3 days per week Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour and you will be set-up with PERS deductions as you will be a public employee. We are offering steady employment year round with a chance at more hours in the future. This position will be great for someone wanting to get established in the maintaining of our beautiful Village. Bridge Cleanup
Hey Bay View and Sandusky Bay Fishing community! 
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a bridge clean up on MONDAY June 10th, 2024 at the Bay View Fishing Access Pier.
Let us all come together and help clean up this important natural resource right here in our own backyard.
Starting with a meeting at the Bay View Center to hand out resources and disperse team members, we’ll head out to the bridge, clean for a few hours, then make our way back for lunch and giveaways! It’s going to be a day full of fun! 
Let’s make a positive impact on our environment and show our love for Bay View! Mark your calendars and join us for a day of giving back.
