Levy

We would like to ask the Residents of the Village of Bay View to support the Police levy on May 6th, 2025 by voting yes. We enjoy having very little crime in our little Village and would like to keep it that way. It is becoming harder and harder to find new hires for the wages we offer. We hope with your support that we will be able to offer better wages, equipment and more man hours. Thank you in advance for supporting this levy.

Turkeys

I have received complaints of damage left behind by the Turkeys. I realize that there is an Ordinance protecting the Turkeys from harm. The question remains how do we help protect residents property? I think we can start by not feeding the Turkeys and this may or may not help. It is very easy to sit back and tell people to quit worrying about the Turkeys as long as it isn’t our properties that are being invaded and damaged. I can’t stop people from feeding the Birds Squirrels and Turkeys but please be considerate to people that are being over run.

Thank you

Bridge Clean Up

Let’s clean up and come together, Bay View!

🧹
🚮

Join us for our BRIDGE CLEANUP event on Friday, April 4th or Saturday, April 5th (weather dependent – final date announced on 3/31)!

This is your chance to experience community, protect our water, and be part of something that truly makes a difference to our local environment.

Big thank you to Erie Shores Waste Removal for sponsoring the collection—your support means the world to us and our village!

We’ll kick things off at 10:20 AM at Bubbles By the Bay Laundromat (701 E Bayview Drive) to meet and grab some coffee. We’ll then spend some time cleaning up, enjoying lunch, and handing out some awesome prizes. Bring your gloves, a water bottle, and a good attitude—we’ll supply the trash bags and buckets!

Let’s show what Bay View is all about—community, action, and pride.

Reminder, we will release the final date on Monday March 31st!

Transient Rental Ordinance

Village of Bay View Council passed Transient Rental Ordinance 2024-05 early December 2024 and it went into affect early January 2025. Anyone that has been or intends to Transient Rent property in the Village of Bay View must fill out an Application and submit the payment no later than March 15, 2025. The Ordinance allows for no more than 15 Transient Rentals within the Village and will be approved on a first come first serve basis. Since this is something new for everyone we are extending the date to March 15, 2025 and then going forward all Transient Rental Permits will expire December 31st each year and must be renewed by January 15th of the following year. Once the 15 Permits are filled you may be put on a waiting list and when the active Permits drop below 15 the person in the number 1 spot on the waiting list will be

contacted to apply for a permit.

To apply for a Transient Rental Permit please contact Steve Congdon of Zoning 419-366-9011 or Mayor Gwinner 419-503-1044. A copy of the Transient Rental Ordinance and Application may be printed from the Bay View website.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
